Week 2 Discussion

The great Dr. Seuss had much to say about culture.  Here are just a few examples:

“Of ALL the shapes we might have been… I say HOORAY for the shapes we’re in!”

—The Shape of Me and Other Stuff

“I know, up on top you are seeing great sights, but down on the bottom we, too, should have rights!”

            —Yertle the Turtle

“We see them come. We see them go. Some are fast. And some are slow.  Some are high.  And some are low.  Not one of them is like another.  Don’t ask why.  Go ask your mother.”

            — One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

After reading each of these excerpts, consider the issues of culture, race, privilege, discrimination, stereotypes, bigotry, and oppression and how they might impact interviewing a client.  For the purposes of this week’s discussion, answer the following questions: Do not number them, do not use bullet points. Paragraph format ONLY! Free from grammar. Check your spelling, sentence structure. GRADUATE QUALITY WRITING ONLY ACCEPTED.
