The advantages to having a person-focused pay system at Mitron are;

  • An increased in great or satisfied customer service.
  • A well designed training programs for the employees which will develop the employee’s skillset and knowledge.

The Mitron customer service will improve due to the technicians increased training and knowledge of product and the building process of each step in the computers to the customer satisfaction.

  • Increase in hourly, labor and overhead cost.

The approach Holly should take to the person-focused pay system is to ensure the pay structure is aligned with the knowledge and skillset of each employee.  Holly should have a well-developed SOP (System Operating Procedures) for every step of the technician’s position, responsibility and needed training.  This will secure a great product and the technician’s expertise.  The technician’s hourly rate should be calculated by the steps and skillset.  This will motivate the technician to gain knowledge and training to increase their hourly rate.
