Personal Representative
As previously discussed, rules governing estates are state-based and thus, each state could have a different set of rules. Here, we look at who can be a personal representative in a few different jurisdictions. Should states be allowed to promulgate their own rules, or should we have a national standard?
Who can serve as the executor or personal representative of a will under your own state and a neighboring state? Give the statutory reference for each. Use any online source, whether state government site, Lexis Advance, FindLaw, or other source.
Write a short paper of about 1–2 pages and discuss your findings in it.
